If you experience any faults and/or defects with your device after the initial 6 (six) month period but still within the manufacturer’s warranty period, the device will be assessed and repaired in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
In the event that your device has a manufacturing defect and this is identified and communicated to U Data within the first 7 (seven) days from the date of purchase. The complete unit (with original in box accessories and packaging) can be returned for a possible exchange on the same model or a refund, subject to the device being assessed at a U Data Service & Repair Centre in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
Out of box failures and Defective Goods Claims will be rejected by U Data when:
a. Contents do not match the inbox checklist as noted by store consultant.
b. Device IMEI and IMEI listed on box do not correspond.
c. Device has signs of damage, misuse or abuse, liquid damage indicator has been activated or if liquid damage has been detected.
d. Fault reported could not be replicated i.e. no fault found.
e. Device found to have outdated software; software related issues or third party/user installed applications, which may affect device performance. In these instances, the OBF Claim will be rejected, customer is required to remove third party/user installed applications and update software to the latest release/version.
f. Blacklisted devices do not qualify for an Out of Box Failure (OBF) Claim.
